Established on December 23, 2024, the Biteyo Charitable Development Organization is dedicated to fostering a brighter future for Ethiopia through empowerment and support for the next generation.
The term "Biteyo," derived from the Gurage community, translates to "guardian of the country" and symbolizes our commitment to protecting and nurturing our nation.
Our Inspiration
Biteyo also refers to a dense forest in Central Ethiopia, specifically in the East Gurage Zone, known for its environmental benefits, clean air, and climate regulation.
This forest serves as a powerful metaphor for our mission: just as the forest sustains its surroundings, we aim to nurture a generation that safeguards Ethiopia’s culture, language, heritage, and land.
We believe in unity—embracing all members of society, regardless of background, to collaboratively build a better Ethiopia.
